Dubai’s nightlife has come of age in recent times. The city is now overflowing with up market wine bars, DJ joints and beach bars. Some of the best bars in Dubai are Irish Village, Carter’s, Pyramids and the Fatafeet Café.
Zinc and Planetarium are one of the most popular nightclubs in Dubai followed by Scream. Pancho Villa's is an institute in itself among the Dubai club scene. For more laid-back music, R&B and Amnesia is a popular option. For those who enjoy live music, Planet Hollywood is a good option with an eclectic selection of good bands and covers outfits.
For nostalgia fans, Dubai is famous for retro chic, with superstars of the 1970s and 1980s such as the Human League, Kajagoogoo, Blondie and Kim Wilde - regularly visiting Dubai.

When in Dubai, there is not a moment to be wasted. There are innumerable things to do, plenty of sun, shopping and sports coupled with a healthy dose of history and culture. Shop for artifacts at the Global village or spices at the spice souq.
If the glittering yellow metal is what you fancy then shop for some of the most beautiful jewelry at the gold souq. From high-end malls to bargain shops it’s a shopper’s paradise. For those more inclined towards sports one can go sand surfing on the deserts or snow skiing at the Ski Dubai or enjoy the thrilling water-rides at Wild Wadi.

- Getting around Dubai
Dubai has a fairly large bus system run by the Dubai Municipality. The bus system has 59 unique routes on weekdays and transports over 200,000 people each week.
Dubai also has an extensive taxi system, by far the most frequently used means of public transport within the emirate. There are both government-operated and private cab companies.
One of the more traditional methods of getting across Bur Dubai to Deira is through abras- small boats and Motor Taxi that ferry passengers across the Dubai creek. Dubai metro will show you how easy it is to plan your journey, buy a ticket, and ride the metro.
